One of the best available tools to help motorists shop around for the cheapest gasoline prices turned two this week. GasBuddy's Android smartphone application has been available now for two years, with millions of downloads and additional users helping the community find cheap gas.
GasBuddy's smartphone app is certainly so successful in part due to it's volunteer users who submit gasoline prices from a multitude of different sources via apps and the internet. GasBuddy's smartphone app is available on iPhone, Android, Blackberry, and Windows phone devices, but even GasBuddy's mobile web format has been upgraded to a very similar experience. Motorists who don't have a smartphone can use the mobile site, m.gasbuddy.com and use nearly the same interface as app users. The redesigned mobile site went live just last week and is much faster and easier to use than the existing offering.
Since GasBuddy's release of the Android app nearly two years ago, hundreds of millions of prices have been submitting using the devices, and the primary source of information is thanks to mobile app users.
We want to take this time to thank everyone involved who utilizes our smartphone app. The success of the GasBuddy app is the success of the average motorist who for two years has held the power to find out cheap gasoline prices on the go in all 50 U.S. states and even into Canada.
