During the Christmas / Hanukkah holidays we are blessed if we are able to gather with our families and friends and share the good tidings and blessings of the season. But this year inexplicable and unspeakable events have drawn the eyes of the world upon us.
As a nation we were horrified to learn of the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. The suffering of the families there is unfathomable, and if we learn nothing else from it, we must learn to never take for granted the gift we have in each breath we take.
Our hope is our future and our future is our children. May God bless you and your family wherever you may be. May God bless the men and women of our Armed Forces. And on this Christmas especially, may God bring peace to the families of Newtown. God bless the children.
