No as I don't trust FB even 1% when it comes to privacy, also they openly admit they sell your info to advertisers without your explicit permission!

Had an account several years ago and decided I didn't want to be there -- they almost refuse to let you leave, takes several days of them saying 'are you sure'. I also greatly dislike that so many sites require you to log on through Facebook. Not me.

I had an account that I only used once to look at the Chattanooga Engineers Club web page about 2 1/2 years ago.
Would take a lot of time to even find the account and password.

So functionally my answer is No.

Not a fan of the craziness of Facebook.

Yes but I haven't used it more than one time since last July. And I strongly dislike that many sites want/require(!) you to log in to your Facebook account to use their site.

No, I don't but all my kids do and I hear about all the hurt feelings that go with it. Personally, I think people put way too much info on them and I'm certain it's the #1 way people and their money part ways.

Yes, I had an account long before many others. I got it several years ago to be able to see photos that my son who was overseas was posting on facebook. Since then, I only log in about once a year -- I don't appreciate the Facebook disrespect to privacy and making it so hard to limit. I also find they implement changes to use your information without advising in advance.
Finally, please don't make Gasbuddy a site where you have to "login" using your Facebook account. It just won't be happening for me.

yes, I do , but why does Gas Buddy want to know that's the more important question? Does it (GB) have a FB page? I'm curious about that, if they do, I never saw it advertised on this site.

No. If I have anything important to say, I will send that information to the person(s) for whom it would be pertinent. Most sites I have seen are filled with garbage, foulness, and ridiculous statements and pictures. The youngsters need to realize that such immaturity can come back and bite them. Employers can look at the FB pages to help decide whether or not to hire.

Worked for the government.. and if you didn't know, vast quantities of information posted to FB and other social media are kept for 'inspection' and having heard the lame "But honest people have nothing to hide!" excuse, there is *plenty* to lose from belonging to a society which does not value privacy. We see Peace and Justice societies being compromised and disrupted by police agitators. What's wrong with wanting Peace? Veterans Against Foreign wars: whose idea was it to put spies among them? And do we want large corporations selling our personal information, say to OIL INDUSTRY execs who can devise ways to troll us?

ANYTHING you place on FB or social media is 'out there' including contact information for the nice, not so nice, the super unkind and the people trying to robo-call you to sell stuff. Okay, 'so what?' What is: if you give your information over to others and give up privacy you cannot claim it back. Your original expressions, your ideas, your right to be accurately quoted: GONE!

But most important is that what we also lose is the ability to communicate with one another personally. Yep, studies conclusively reveal that communication ability drops significantly with social media, as does clarity of thought and the ability to empathize.
