I started back in the day of punch cards, basic, Fortran and Cobol. Entered military as pilot and didn't get back into it until about Y2k. Did dabble a little in Visual Basic, got (back) into the MSN Developers Network and tried to stay current with the explosion of the "visual" programs (VBA, VC++). Was out before smart phone OS explosion, but see much of the same that happened back during the machine language, then visual language crazes happening again (i.e. code optimization >>> sloppy code as harddrives and avail. memory grew).
