Thanx !!! That's the LSU live mascot (and of course appropriate for Standard Oil...). I figure the first week of September will be limo time ... LOL ...

That's great that you put yourself out there to do something about the problem. Folks that take action are the kindling for my fire.. Awesome stuff. If those tank cars were being stored in a yard of some type, that might not be so bad, but the train co. Wants to leave them on a 10 mi stretch of tracks right in the Adirondack Mtn Preserve.. that's like Rocky Mtn NP!..Not much different as Ive been to both places.. to boot.. they won't be cleaning the raw juice out of the cars either.. it may sit on those tracks for a long time through winter in the daks.. who is gonna check those tank cars at 10* below zero? Bad idea bud! Best j1

Here's a link to the tank car story.. 500 nasty leaking uncleaned oil tank cars in the Adirondak Preserve in Ny.. set aside for.. ironically.. clean creeks and rivers.. Wonder if they'll do this near Golden , Co where they get the water for the beer of the west?? Other stuff all tongue in cheek bud.. terrible thing to happen for sure.. but I know one gber from tx that would argue that all that stuff is just natural elements from the earth..and the good ole earth will take care of clearing that up on it's own.. just like it does with oil spills.. best j1

Why shoul the mine people pay for that? Heck.. the mine folk had all that stuff contained, just like nuke cake sitting in dry casks on a nuke site bud.. they didn't put that stuff in the river! This just in.. short track owner in Adirondack national preserve wants to store 10 miles of uncleaned tankers on unused track in park duration unknown.. amount of residual wasye in each tank car unknown.. dep claims limited jurisdiction. . Good stuff.. check AP for article.. bbest j1

Remember this.. the epa did not put that crap in the mountain.. they may have accidentally released it..but they neither made that stuff, nor profitted on it. And the taxpayers will clean that ness up, if it can be cleaned up..and those folks ghat ran that mine.. will get away likely scott free.. license to pollute granted. Bsst j1

We SHOULD NOT be Affected by CA refinery Issues... to $2.49 thru $2.84 85 Regular price levels... Ohio and Missouri are $2.05 for 87 octane... 85 octane is usually 10c LESS???

by nurdco  Jul 31, 2015

Go to Midwest states... $2 levels for 87 Octane

by LanguageMan1  Jul 10, 2015

Don't be surprised to see a temporary spike in prices there. I warned PDQ about it in California, and now GasBuddy is also saying it. They're expecting a boost of 15 to 30 cents a gallon, I'm expecting 20 to 35 cents, possibly 40 cent at the highest.
