Hi midnj. Joeski1 mentioned that you are going Solar. We signed up for a 3.0 kW system around Thanksgiving last year. It produced first juice on Feb. 20. Our first three bills dropped from about $70 per mo down to around $20. We were very happy but I should have gotten more panels and shopped harder for a better deal. When June came around with lots of 100+ degree days, it couldn't fully support the demand of our AC unit. We will be out of the AC season within a couple of weeks, which will make me happy. Good luck and I hope that you don't get too much rain coming up from the Carolinas. Warren

That is good. The only thing that you have to worry about is thermal degradation of the panels. The average is 0.5%/year. Your panel system should be optimized for thermal degradation. Las Vegas is one of the hottest areas in the US. With a 3.6 Kw array you will likely not have to pay for any power at all. Even with AC. In Vegas a heat pump will likely provide heat but you may wind up paying some for that. I think you will like it. I certainly do. My array is 3.96 kw and regularly averages over 3.0 kw for a couple of hours in good weather. Jim

Hi Joe says you are joining the solar club. I have had a 4 kw array since July 2012. I have not paid for electricity for a couple of years now. The only problems I have had with the system is snow stacking up on it or sliding off and damaging my cars. Also there have been some problems with the remote monitoring systems but there has never been any problems with the basic system producing power whenever there was enough sun. I have a 20 year prepaid lease which is now about 1/2 paid off. I save between 50 and 70 dollars a month.

Awesome.. we just had another solar install in my neighborhood yesterday.. now by last count 30 homes have it here in our enclave of about 300...NRG solar did the work.. did you see who's doing the lying for the Nuke folks these day? The thief that stole Trenton, Chritie Todd Whitman.. yup.. she still take her state pension.. with that said..el bloato crusty can get a job lying for VW clean diesel, or clean coal after he gets his lard butt handed to him for abandoning the ill advised that elected his lying butt to office a 2nd time..what were they thinking?..did they think at all? I was the 1st home in our area to go solar.. I may be the first to get a volt or tesla.. we will see... joe

2100? Not bad! Howz it going? Got solar? We did another 870 kWhrs this month.. thanks mr sun.. with my 1100 plus in the bank..I could fill up a Tesla 10 times and do almost 3000 miles without paying a cent more..under contract and got the whiz kid electrician working on 240V to the driveway for plug in.. then I will commision a 4K solar car port to fuel that up.. but first.. will it be an S.. or the new people's car coming out soon? Ah shucks.. probably will lease a gen II volt.. darn.. joe
