In regards to the erroneous billing, did they ever threaten you with arrest and/or refusal of vehicle registration renewal in order to enforce compliance? I'm curious to see if there is a protocol for situations such as you had. This whole idea sounds ripe for governmental abuse of power.

What California is contemplating is mandating that any car registered in the state would be required to have a GPS that the Government could use to track your location and your mileage. They want to make sure they're only taxing you when you're driving within the state's boundaries. You don't get taxed when you leave the state. The GPS will be "free", but what will really happen is that your car registration will rise to pay for the cost of your "free" GPS. No privacy issues there.

Are you really in your mid 80s and still driving?

That CITGO station has been closed for weeks. It even has a For Lease sign up.

You are right about not being held responsible by a judge if your car ran a red light camera. The judge would hold the car responsible and remove the tags from the car and you would be free to go. Unlike if your dog bit someone and you were out of town, you would still be responsible for the actions of your dog. LOL....YB.Shep

I was telling everyone I could two or three days ago the price was going up. I'm usually right on the money that it's going up or going down If I had the money, I'd be investing in oil and gas along with lots of other stuff, but I try to keep an eye on it to build up my accuracy of where I expect prices to be going. We should drop at some point though soon enough. Have a great day.

"Happy to see that no price increases in Ormond Beach, Central Florida. So far so good, keep fingers crossed, and all that! One Sunoco station actually came down one whole cent!" Yeah, our prices went down around here until about two days ago just after I saw prices go up on the wholesale market, so don't be surprised to see yours jump up a bit today or tomorrow. Prices are up 14 cents a gallon on the wholesale market and usually we'll see at least a third to a half of the jump on the price at the pump. Here's a message though I sent out to my friends yesterday here: "I can't contact everyone as I'm busy with something right now. Pass it along. Here's the headline: Iran warships: Why are they going to US coast? That also explains the wholesale jump in price the last two days of the week as well partly."

Thanks a million for your comments. IMHO, US innovation should help create +ve results & create lower gas prices.
