Cuda, your picture of the pump tells the problem and the solution on the GB Website is not solving anything. First, we will never get all GBs to follow the guideline and secondly, it is a huge disadvantage to merchants who carry both. I have written a long missive to the GB Support Team to outline the problems we are having with consistent reporting by all GBs. I have offered them 2 different solutions to make it easier for GBs to report our fuel prices consistently. We will see what their response is.

I finally heard back from GasBuddy. This is what they said. " On GasBuddy, "Regular" is regarded as no-ethanol, and "Midgrade" is regarded as E-10. This would mean, when reporting prices, Mid is virtually always less expensive than Reg in Iowa.". This tells me that regular gas (E0) is entered into the REGULAR category and E-10 is entered into the MIDGRADE category. This information is also on the web site. This also tells me that Gasbuddy is looking at ethanol content and not octane.

Here is the rest of the previous message. === My Last Answer From GB ====== Octane can vary from station to station, from brand to brand, and from area to area. I hope this helps. Regards, Don (DH)
