I finally heard back from GasBuddy. This is what they said. " On GasBuddy, "Regular" is regarded as no-ethanol, and "Midgrade" is regarded as E-10. This would mean, when reporting prices, Mid is virtually always less expensive than Reg in Iowa.". This tells me that regular gas (E0) is entered into the REGULAR category and E-10 is entered into the MIDGRADE category. This information is also on the Gasbuddy.com web site. This also tells me that Gasbuddy is looking at ethanol content and not octane.
