I was just reading some postings about those who have a cigarette lighter in their cars and noticed that most people state that they use the lighter for anything but lighting cigarettes. So just curious, do you smoke or allow smoking in you car?

Not me ever!

No family or friends that ride in my car are smart. They don't smoke!

No. I don't smoke and now that I've read this question I just realized I don't currently have any friends that smoke either. But the couple friends I had that did smoke of course they knew I didn't so at first they asked if they could smoke and I politely said no. But we're just out around town so they waited and had a smoke when we parked.

One time I picked up a lady hitch hiking. She hopped in my car real quick and I was able to jump back in traffic pretty quick. Practically right away she popped a smoke in her mouth and was pulling out a lighter. I politely said I don't like people smoking in my car. She literally started screaming waving her arms and yelling to let her out. She started to open the door while I was still doing 35mph. There wasn't much of a shoulder and there was a lot of traffic behind me that I had just jumped in front of. I yelled at her to shut the door I'm pulling over. I half way nosed my car to the thin shoulder with the back half in the lane and she flew out and slammed the door and rocked my car with everything her 100lb body had. Looking back on it now with more life experience she either had mental issues or was a druggie or quite likely both.

Looking back on that crazy lady really made me think. If push came to shove and a passenger became so eratic about a cigarette that I thought they were going to injure me or cause an accident. I'd just let em light up and deal with the smoke later, cause the minor inconvenience of smoke and deodorizing is nothing compared to totaling my ride, getting seriously injured, wrecking other cars or all of the above. When they get out they won't be in one of my vehicles again.

Not in the car or on a star. Nit in the house or by the spouse. Not with green eggs or ham. Besides smoking is for rich people. I do not have the money to spend on smoking.
