Many of you know on why GasBuddy exists- to serve the public by providing a real time gasoline price forum so that consumers can have access to the information necessary to locate the lowest fuel prices available.

We're expanding on that today by starting a blog focused on the petroleum industry authored by yours truly, Patrick DeHaan, Senior Petroleum Analyst here at GasBuddy. I will frequently write about just about anything I think you should know or interesting things about the oil and gasoline industry.

The bottom line here is to give you facts, share my gasoline price forecasts, and ultimately, to enable everyone to spend less money at the pump. We have some very powerful tools to shed light on future prices and some great technology I've been working to develop to help us all see how the upcoming hurricane season can effect oil infrastructure and gasoline prices.
