Hess recently announced the launch of the Hess Express mobile app (with GasBuddy!) to provide their customers with real-time gas price information, store locations, and exclusive Hess Express deals too.

Don't worry if you don't have a smart phone... you can still receive Mobile Hess Express 'deal alerts' by plugging in your mobile numbers online.

The new app is supposed to help Hess build better relationships with customers and deliver on their commitment to convenience and quality. In addition to the directions, traffic reporting, gas prices etc., the "My Hess Express" module of the app and website allows consumers to select a specific Hess store as their favorite to get the latest prices, Hess Express deals and coupons specific to that location.

At the same time, Hess is seeking your input. Apparently they recognize what too may businesses have forgotten; that is, if you want to keep the customers you have, you need to listen to them. (The customers often know much more about retailing than the guys in the corporate headquarters...)

To that end, Hess has added the "Idea Bank" to the Hess Express mobile app and website. It's an interactive feature that creates a collaborative experience where customers can submit, comment and vote on ideas on how to make their Hess visits more enjoyable.
