They go out for periods of time and then all of a sudden will start working again. At first i thought it was a bulb, but the bulb was good. They won't work for a couple of months and then suddenly start working again for a few months and then the cycle repeats. I'm assuming it's some sort of short? Water gets in the plastic lamp casing? If anyone has an idea, please let me know. Funds are short and I need to fix it myself. Thanks

We had some probs with grounding in the mid 90s right in the factory. The ground from the tailight to the frame is poorly engineered. Fixed in later models because we complained about so many repairs before we could ship them.

The connector for the bulb was bad. He jcut it off and replaced it and now has no problems. He found this by looking at where the wires connect to the plug one of them was bad. There was no way to reattach the wire the harness had to be replaced.
