He passed away July 4, 2002. Mom and I miss him so very much! No one could have asked fro a better Husband or Dad! I know he is in heaven with all his buddies and my Granny and Grampop, his Mom & Dad! I miss them all so much! God Bless! TOL1

Just noticed while looking up your holiday recipe forum. I am sorry for your loss. Your Dad passed exactly two weeks after my Mom: June 20, 2002. There was a lot of loss that year. In August my 50-year old first cousin dropped dead of a massive heart attack, while hiking by Lake Tahoe where he lived. In the fall our beloved Senator, Paul Wellstone was killed in a plane crash just two weeks or so before the election. And quite a few other neighbors and friends? loved ones. I think of it as a "season of loss". Same thing happened when my Dad died, in 1999. So many others left the planet that year that I lost count. Was your Dad especially Patriotic or a vet? That sounds like a special day for him to go.
