Que pasta Claudie
glad you had an easy visit to fix a problem quickly with your dentist
wanna see a team that has things going their way right now? Tiger's page
Tiger's have won 3 straight against Cleveland, and last night's game could have gone either way, but if you look at the video of Prince Fielder's go ahead single (currently available in the above link), he hit a double play ball back up the middle but the pitcher managed to get his glove on it, the second baseman had to reverse and dive for it but it was out of his reach and the Tiger's took a 7-6 lead, had the pitcher not gotten his glove on the ball it was a sure double play and we both know how double plays kill innings

Hi Claudie; Good news the tenants won pretty much everything we asked for. Dog area where they can run free, they just need to choose a spot. Benches will be placed in all areas where there is a place and there are many. The office staff will be replaced and the office will remain open all day no closing at lunch and "paper work" time. So the laundry machine will always be available as well as the community room. No more closing the office to go out on the grounds as there will be adequate staff available so someone will be there at all times. The temperature in the daytime til dusk will be set on a timer to keep it at 80 degrees. The awful grass landscaping which she informed us was over a million dollars at the time, is to be replaced. l just couldn't be happier.

Good afternoon Claudie, hope your trip to hubby's sister's was a good one & she was glad to get the mower. Also hope you got your Subway sub today. We haven't been to SW much, maybe two or three times.
Boy! is it cold here today it's 56 degrees but very windy which makes it feel colder. I told Wrench I can't seem to get warm & I have the heat up to 75 degrees, he told me the air was still on from the other day that's way I'm not getting warm. Dumb Dumb me not looking.
My appointment for the back MRI was for 7:30 so had to get out by 7:10 because of school bus traffic, got right in & out by 8:30 than off to Denny's for breakfast, a stop at Big Lots & Save A Lot than home for lunch. I see the Neurologist on Tuesday afternoon. I'm going to take some reports of other MRI's from a couple years ago. I've been told I have 2 herniated disc, one in my neck & one in my low back, the one in neck is pressing on the spinal cord. I'm not planning on any surgery but I'm trying to find out why I'm getting numbness in my feet & legs up into my back
Have a great holiday weekend. no plans for us so far, maybe D & SIL will come for a cook out on Monday afternoon if he' not working. Monday 27th would be my Dad's 117th birthday & he also passed away on his birthday in 1974, it also was my oldest sisters birthday.

Wow!! We FINALLY made it home!
No problems going up to hubby's sister's house; made good time (no traffic), and got there about 10:30. Hung around until noon, knowing that we needed to get back on the road before Friday/holiday traffic started up. We actually left their house about noon and were making good time until we got about 15 miles from home (on the interstate) Heavy, heavy traffic, but we finally made it to where the Subway was about 1:15; it was busy in there, too! :(
And now we're finally home! Thank goodness!
Hello, 6642337, Scanman, Farful, FULL OF FUN, doc, trugasCA, SteelPenny, MusicTeacher, jjdm, dickc49, JM, and roadjet!
6642337, thanks for stopping in!
Scanman, good luck with the doctor's appointment!
Farful and FULL OF FUN, I saw a male hummer yesterday...for the first time in weeks. I think I read somewhere that it might be b/c this is nesting time. I hope they hurry up and hatch those babies!
doc, it's about 80° here and breezy; feels a lot cooler than that, though.
trugas, hope you get some good news at the BBQ; can't wait to hear it. The mulch we put down is dark black; we chose that color b/c the trim on our house is black. Were you wanting them to put down the red mulch? That would have added color.
SteelPenny, yes, the Charlotte race is the Coca Cola 600, and it starts at 6 PM ET...on FOX.
MusicTeacher, hope all 5 of your students show up today.
jjdm, oh, no! Bad news about your dad being fired. Hope that Al's will hire your dad to fill the vacant position.
dick, ooohhh, man! A grandkid-free weekend for you, too! Wonderful, right? I won't have a kid-free weekend, though, b/c Son lives with us for the moment. He should be working all day tomorrow, though, but i don't know about Monday.
JM, I will not find out about extra tickets (for the people sitting around us) until preseason. Even then, I'm going to try and sell the preseason tickets. I will keep my ears open, though.
roadjet, I think my dentist will be retiring in the close-coming years and I am not sure what I will do about it then. Don't know if he'll hire someone to take his place or sell the practice. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Afternoon Claudie. That sounds like me too. My first and only dentist was my parents that I started seeing in the early 70's and he started only working 2 half days a week on his way to retirement even though he was going strong in his 80's.

Good morning Claudie, just my wife and I are heading to Maine this weekend. I will bring my ski equipment back north with me as Killington will close for the season on Sunday so I will not be getting back out any more. I WAS hoping for next weekend, their stated goal, but with so much rain in the last 10 days the snow is melting too fast. :>( She and I will enjoy a quiet weekend. I will service the skis Saturday and Sunday and we will also go to the Rumford appliance store and look at new electric ranges as the one at the townhouse is a 1986 model and needs to be replaced as the broiler has quit, and the rest is just OLD. We will also do a bit of "poking" around the area for something to do. With the two home based kids staying home I will have built in cat feeders and house guards. It will also mean we have a totally kid free weekend. No kids, no grandkids. The other son is doing who knows what this weekend, and our other daughter is heading off camping in NH. I hope you have a quiet and enjoyable Memorial day weekend.

Good morning, Claudie! Oh I could tell, their faces lit up when they saw the children! :)
Today’s Picture! "Here Comes the Train"
Today’s Picture! "The Train"
So yesterday our family found out some bad news....Dad got fired. Last week Dad worked the weekend as always, but was called in the evening because a guest pooped in the pool. Well, when Dad got to the hotel, the guests that pooped in the pool were still playing in the pool. Dad asked them to the leave the pool so he could clean the pool. For some reason the guests were offended by this. They started to leave and Dad began to clean up the pool area by picking up some towels. The guests then yelled out of nowhere “don’t throw towels at us”. Dad was dumbfounded, he was picking them up, not throwing them. Later on the kids of those same guests were running on the elevator and all over the hotel. Dad asked them to stop and the kids said “We’re telling our parents that you are being rude to us”. Lastly, Dad discovered that these guests were grilling on the patio, which they are not allowed to do. Dad kindly let them know that, and they responded “You are the rudest person ever, we are telling the owner about this”.
Recently the hotel got a new owner, and this owner has been firing a lot of the old workers. Well, the owner got the compliant and did not want to hear Dad’s side. He said the guest is always right and told the supervisor to fire Dad. :(
After listening to Dad tell his story, I went to David’s house. We decided to go see the movie “The Great Gatsby”, so this was my 3rd time seeing it. This is my favorite movie of all time, so I didn’t mind seeing it again! I’ll actually be seeing it a 4th time. :) After leaving David’s house, I went to give Katie a ride to work. Car ride full of conversation as always. Then I came home and got ready for work myself. Before starting work, I talked with the assistant manager Jackie and asked her for a favor....if she could hire my Dad for 2 days a week (that’s what he was doing at the hotel). Jackie did say there was a spot open for Janitorial Maintenance and she would talk with the manager. :)
I worked 5 pm - 12:30 am in grocery. Rev. Kevin and I began by filling the 24 packs of water that were on sale ($1.98 each). They were flying off the shelves! Then we faced Aisles 12-10; 8-5. When we got to Aisle 5, I went to Dairy for 30 minutes and filled a couple of sale items. After that Rev. Kevin and I went on break. When we got back we faced Aisles 4-1 and filled the water again. Then we took our 2nd break. For the next 2 hours, I filled sale items in the Dairy Department. Since I spent so much time in Dairy, I stayed over 30 minutes to help Rev. Kevin reface the store. I checked the numbers, we were up from the projections for the 2nd day in a row!!! I ended up giving Katie a ride home too. :)
Have a great day!

Good Morning, Claudie ♫ I am glad the Dental Assistant was able to reglue your loose crown at the Dentist's Office!
Have a nice visit with your Husband to his Sister's Home, errands, and then perhaps a Subway lunch out with him afterward!
Regarding why I am having Thursdays off in May, my one and only Student for that day had to cancel for the entire month of May because of a Mandatory month long training at his job. He and many of his Co-Workers were very disappointed by this, as May is a busy time for families with graduations, vacations, etc., and many had to give up attending graduations of family and even their pre-planned vacations too. He will definitely be returning for Thursday lessons in June. The siblings used to take lessons on Thursdays, but they have moved to Wednesdays.
Today is my busiest teaching day of the week with five Students to teach starting at 2:00 PM. I plan on doing my tasks and any errands as needed before I start teaching this afternoon.
Have a Wonderful Friday! ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬ ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬

Claudie - Is the Charlotte race the 600 mile race that was usually run just a few hours after the Indy 500 ? For a while there used to be a driver that did the Indy race and then jetted off to the next race. 1,100 miler in one day. I'm sure he missed the driver's meeting right before the 2nd race.

I should wait to post Claudie until after the "Tenant's Appreciation BBQ" today because rumor has it that the District Manager is supposed to be there and with some improvement news.
Right now they are spreading mulch (one of our issues) which looks like charcoal all around the front of the complex. l laugh at this because we asked for color and they choose a gloomy dark thing to add to all the gray or tan grass clumps. Sound cheerful?
l am going to the bbq, which l normally do not. l went to one when l first moved in and got a hot dog plain, store bought awful potato salad and a slice of watermelon. l have been eating watermelon and giving it away for 2 days and don't care for any more. l had 2 long hot dogs yesterday and l made a great one potato salad. LOL. But IF there is a chance that some info will be given, l want to hear first hand, not what people think was said. No one knows where it is to be held, but will take a guess of the community room at noon when it is usually locked. (One of our issues.)

Good morning, FULL OF FUN and attitash!
FULL OF FUN, you had your long weekend last weekend and now it's time for ours. :) Yeah, I know y'all's gas is much more expensive than ours and I shouldn't complain. However when places around you (or on the north side of Atlanta) are paying 20 or 30¢ lower than you are, well, I just wonder, where are the low prices? I do know that in GA, we have a 'suumer blend' that they start selling around now (don't know if they've started yet, though), and that usually increases the price. Have a fun time on your date night! :)
attitash, okay, now I see; you get paid extra for those education days. May be alright then. :)
Okee dokee! Off to have breakfast and then heading out.
I did forget to mention that before we actually go to hubby's sister's house, we need to stop at the kaiser place (for hubby) first and then Mom's (to give her the prescription I got at WM yesterday and her laundry. It IS all on the way north.

good morning, TGIF no long weekend for us up here, its very cold today and we have a north wind so it will not get much better all day, our gas prices run around $4.60-$4.90US per US gal. so to me your gas is really cheeeeeeepppppp. We had sojuicy chicken last night, its sooooo gooooood if you can get it down your way, you coat the chicken and pop it in a bag and bake it in the oven. really good, we had chips (fry's) and peas with it very easy meal to cook and so scrummy, for dessert we had some of that sweet and salty popcorn instead of ice cream, we are trying to eat less ice cream.
We watched corry then Oh Brother were art thou, such a good movie one of TOH fav's.
Tonight is date night, not sure if we are doing fish and chips or Chinese. yet.
Have a great day FOF

Good morning, DsplacdToledoan, Robustus, Farful, MidnightSun, hmcsretired07, USMCturtlehead, scout, TUrtLE, grmoore, and senile!
DsplacdToledoan, I was right, thinking one of my crowns was in the process of loosening up. The dental assistant found which one it was and popped it right off; then she glued it right back on. :)
Robustus, I really don't know much about rehab places, so I can't say anything. I'm agreeing with you, though; your mom will just have to live with it for the month she's there. I really don't know if they'd move her.
Farful, it feels a lot cooler this morning, though, when I looked at the thermometer, it was about the same as it's been the past few mornings. I believe the difference is that the humidity is lower and there's a slight breeze.
MidnightSun, glad you got the rest of the lawn mowed, but it's time to mow the other ¾, isn't it?
hmcsretired, I'm hoping to have an uneventful weekend.
USMCturtlehead, I know what you mean about the difference in the gas prices among states. South Carolina's are a lot lower than ours are and it doesn't seem fair to me either. Glad the graduation went well. On to the party (tomorrow night)!
scout, Baltimore, huh? I have a niece who lives there; she goes to John Hopkins. Thanks for the Friday music.
TUrtLE, I knew the full moon was soon! Since we've been having clear skies at night, I can see it, big and bright!
grmoore, hoping the prices will go back down some after this holiday weekend. Can't wait to see if the prices down by my interstate exit are still in the $3.40s. <crosses fingers>
senile, thanks for stopping in!
Hubby and I are going up to his sister's house (on the northwestern side of Atlanta) for a very short trip. He'll be delivereing a push lawn mower to them that he's been working on/fixing and I'm going along to see the house that they now live in (they moved there several months ago). We'll stay a coupla hours (mostly to make sure we get in and out of Atlanta before any traffic mounts up) and then head on back towards home. I think I'll try to talk hubby into stopping at Subway for lunch. :) Other than that, there are no definite plans until Monday! :)

Good Morning Claudie and Friends.
Claudie, be thankful. Gas here runs about $3.99. I paid $4.13 in Calif on vacation. The next full moon is May 25th @12:25AM EDT.
It is named the Full Flower Moon because flowers are abundant everywhere during this time. Other names include the Full Corn Planting Moon, or the Milk Moon.
Let us know if you are able to view this full moon.
Please be careful and be safe as you're out and about on this long holiday weekend.

Good Morning Claudie!
Had good trip to NC traffic light which is nice traveling before a Holiday. Was disappointed that gas prices in KY was $3.59 when I left. Bought gas in Knoxville, TN for $3.24 and prices here in NC are running at $3.35. Thats quite a difference from home. People and Ky are always complaining of price gouging. Oh Well!.
Granddaughter Graduation went great. Class of about 200 students. Students in class had received about 1.25 million in scholarships. Sounds like a lot but really does not go far at todays costs for college. After ceremonies we just went out for pizza.
today will mostly relax and visit. Graduation party is Saturday at my sons house.
Hope you enjoy your day and weekend.

Good morning Claudie!
Saved $50 off the bill, as two instead of one tie rod end was needed. Saved on a pkg deal.
Headed to the market earlier than normal. Deal of the day were mangos for 75¢ ea, red grapes are $1.99 a lb, Big hot house tomatoes $1.85 a lb, Minneolas for 75¢ ea, bosc pears $1.50 a lb, huge green leaf lettuce heads for $1.50.
Also cukes are 5 for $2, crimini mushrooms are $3.50 a lb, limes 5 for $2, and 49¢ a lb for bananas. Still have cooked & uncooked veggies in the fridge. Still working on the whole watermelon. Just reached the ⅓ point.
Brought all five of the plastic description tags, one deceased perennial carcass in a plastic bag, and all the receipts to Lowe's. Told the Return Dept guy that only the strawberries came back this spring and all five of the perennials did not.
He was nice and refunded the entire $34.45. $12.96 in cash and the balance $19.49 was put back on my credit card. Since there is no monthly payment on the cc, a check will be mailed.
Went to WM and bought replacement 2.5 quarts (8" containers) that are good for -30° (yes, below zero) to -40° and an orange poppy good for -50°. 5 replacement plants, 2 years old, were purchased for $5,77 ea for a total of $28.85 at Walmart. Have the receipt taped facing my wall.
Really want the plants to grow next spring. Want to just maintain that perennial garden and stop buying new plants each spring or having to dig them up to return.
Had the desire for red peppers, vidalia onions, and broccoli on homemade Mac and cheese. Used Bongards American Cheese (Bongards, Minn). Tt has 30% less sodium & fat than others cheeses found locally. Of course freshly minced cloves of garlic was added with a dash of evoo.
Went out and fired up the lawnmower to tackle the unmowed 25%. The grass was at least 10 inches tall. Had to raise the wheels for the first pass. Lowered the wheels for the final cut. The humidity was 78% with the dew point at an astounding 65°. Was glad the temp was only 73°.
An hour later my t-shirt was soaked with perspiration. That section looks fabulous. Now it's time to re-cut the rest of the lawn. The Weed & Feed works great after many days of rain. 4.5 inches of rain so far this month.
Still have annuals and the 5 new perennials to plant. My window boxes need to be filled with flowers as well. Getting on it in between the "100% chance of precipitation."
The temp is 60° with the high to be 79°. There is a 100% chance of rain and t-storms. It is lightly raining.
Have a tremendous day!

Good evening Claudie and buddies!
Just got back about a half hour ago seeing my mom again.
No new new developments in her progress.
However, she isn't too happy at the rehab facility. I think she will have to get used to it.
One of the problems was that she had a private room in the hospital. Now she has to share one with someone. I don't know if it is possible to have Medicaid cover a private room or not. But if not, she'll just to try to make the best of it.
Another things, one thing that disturbs me is that this building has one central nurses station and four or five wings coming out from it. Therefore, it seems like she's having difficulty getting a nurse to respond when she calls them. I don't know if it is because they're understaffed and/or too busy to get to everyone at once. So, I hope that won't' be too bad later on.
Last, one thing creeps me out is since these rehab facilities are like nursing homes. There are patients wandering up and down the halls and sitting outside the building. The concern is some of them are a little delusional (I'm not trying to sound mean or pick on them) and tend to wander in her room thinking it's theirs and/or want use her facilities like the bathroom and asking about something that sounds silly to us.
That last part is difficult for me since I have never really been at a nursing home/rehab facility much before. I had the same experience when visiting my dad when he went through rehab a couple years ago.
Therefore, the first day there wasn't a happy experience for her. So, I hope and please pray that things will improve. Hopefully, she will be more comfortable there as time goes along until she hopefully gets to go home.
By the way, I think the doctors don't come in until tomorrow. Again nothing new to report on her condition.
I apologize if sounded harsh on describing this situation. I have no intention of making this sound like I'm cruel and no respect for these places. I understand how there's people far worse than we are and I respect them very much. It is just an very different experience for both my mom and me.

yup crowns are expensive, and if the tooth rots out from under them you'll lose them anyway, still gotta take good care of them

Good afternoon, rjojo40AL, roadjet, fliper, and HappyHiker!
rjojo, thanks for stopping in!
roadjet, I started with my dentist when I first moved to where we live now; that was back in the mid-70s. He's the only dentist my own 2 grown kids have ever know. When Jake and Emma (my daughter's kids) first went to a dentist, they started out at a pediatric dentist; she's now going to move them to this dentist when they go in for a check-up in June.
fliepr, yeah, yeah; busy as usual. Hoping that Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will have some VERY serious downtime.
HappyHiker, thanks for looking at Emma's 'graduation' pix. I thought they turned out alright, considering the lighting in the place. Hope you don't have to go in for jury duty tomorrow either. You sure have lucked out this week. :)

Hi Claudie, I enjoyed viewing Emma's "graduation" photos on FB. She's such a cutie! What good news that your crown was an easy fix and you don't need to have any more dental work done (for now.)
My group still hasn't been picked for jury service, so I was able to go to a follow-up appointment with my orthopedist. I've made very good progress on the flexibility of my wrist but my squeezing strength still isn't as good as he would like. I have to continue my home exercises and go back in another six weeks.
I was surprised to find wet streets when I got up this morning. Though there were dark clouds overhead, I wore shorts as I went on my early walk. It's now almost 1PM and it's still overcast and in the mid 60's, a nice day to work in the garden. I don't think we actually got any measurable rain, just a heavy drizzle.
I'm hoping no one wants to pick a jury on the Friday of a holiday weekend, so I won't have to report to court tomorrow. If not, my jury service requirement will be fulfilled for another year. Fingers crossed! Have a good evening.

Afternoon Claudie. Glad you like your dentist. I recently switched to only my second one ever in my life so I know how important a wonderful dentist can be.

Oh, man! I got screwed! (oooops! Sorry for my 'language!')
We have a ton of gas stations off the interstate exit where I live. I usually go that way to wherever I am going. This morning, since I was going to the dentist (which turned out just fine. The crown WAS in the process of coming off, so the dental assistant popped it off and re-cemented it. Hope it stays on for a loooooong time!), I went a different way. On the way, I noticed all the gas prices in the town I went to had ALL gone up into the $3.50s, even Kroger (jumped 20¢ overnight). :( I really needed gas, so I thought I just better go ahead and get it at Kroger b/c I didn't know if the prices at our gas stations (off the interstate) had gone up as well.
Well, guess what? They're ALL the same as yesterday.....ALL in the low $3.40s! <shakes head> Oh, man! I paid $3.49 at Kroger with 10¢ off. Sheesh!
I also decided NOT to go to Mom's after the dentist b/c I just remembered.....duh! We're stopping off at her place tomorrow morning on our way to hubby's sister's house; delivering a prescription I had to pick up from WM for her. Now I'll deliver the prescription AND her laundry! Glad I figured that one out before I went up there!
Sooooooo I get back home earlier! :)
Anyway everything else went fine.
Good morning, attitash, grmoore, FULL OF FUN, 6642337, trugasCA, trevor, Scanman, jjdm, MusicTeacher, and dickc49!
attitash, oh, man! They make you go to the education days on your day off? Why don't they schedule them on a work day?
grmoore, so sorry to hear about the death of your colleague's daughter. So young! :(
FULL OF FUN, I haven't had a lot of gum operations (maybe just one), but I have had my share of root canals and crowns. :( Everybuddy I've ever gone to is great, too. I sure feel lucky. Don't stay at work too late tonight; you don't want to miss the movie! What time does it come on?
trugas, oh, man! What a fiasco concerning the laundry! Hope you got your card loaded. There ARE laundry rooms on all 3 floors of Mom's ALF, and it's free (you have to have your own detergent, of course), but Mom says she doesn't want to do laundry anymore. She doesn't have that much, so usually on the day we go to WM, I take it home (fills a WM bag, sometimes 2); take it back usually on the day I go to the grocery store or another day if I'm in her city. If I didn't do it (which is not really a problem b/c I just throw it in with ours), she'd send it to a local laundry place, which does cost money. :(
Scanman, this morning ended up not being as bad as I thought it would be (I guess I'm a pessimist); esp. since the dental visit only took about 20 minutes and I didn't go to Mom's, which would have added maybe 30 minutes onto my 'out' time.
jjdm, too bad you can't take the kids to visit your grandma more often. People at nursing homes and ALF's LOVE kids!
MusicTeacher, hmmmmm, is Thursday a normal non-teaching day? For some reason I thought only Tuesday was (not including the weekend, of course).
dick, our weather's supposed to be great through Memorial Day and beyond. Temps are supposed to be in the high 70s (a cool-down of 10°); little chance of rain. Sounds good to me! I sorta have a 5-day weekend, since we're not watching Emma anymore in the afternoons and then Monday. :) When are you heading to Maine? On Friday? Hope the migraine gets better (goes away?).
6642337 and trevor, thanks for stopping in!

Good morning Claudie, Yes, the grand kids were over. The grand daughter is here every day all day, and my wife picks up the grand son at day care at noon time. He was not feeling well and had a slight fever so his mother was called and took him to the doctor. Another ear infection (he just cut another tooth). He will be back today just after noon. Woke up with a migraine in behind the right eye. I hate having to take pain meds before getting out of bed. Its doing better right now, but still not great. Our weather looks to be mixed today, then warmer late with a warm start tomorrow then a front moves in. The front will stall for most of the weekend so we might salvage Monday out of the long weekend. We will head up to Maine anyway. We have not been up since the third weekend in April. I need to shut down the last heater and service all the skis and snowboards for the summer. We also need to shop for a new stove. The one up there is a 1986 model and the broiler has quit. There is no sense in fixing it when the thing is that old. I still have to plant my peppers and tomatoes. As long as the weather looks to hold for a bit today or tomorrow morning, I will get them in. Otherwise I shall read some more. I finished the Clive Cussler book and have started on one called "Once a Fighter Pilot".

Good Morning, Claudie ♪ I am glad your Eye Doctor visit went well yesterday, and I hope your Dental visit will go well today. Have a nice visit with your Mom afterward. That is good that Emma's other Grandparents are taking over her care for today.
Thankfully yesterday was very productive before and after teaching the sibling Students.
Today is my day off from teaching and I look forward to a full day of doing my tasks and errands, including a visit to the Farmer's Market for produce and the raffle.

Good morning, Claudie! I work 6 days, but only 39 hours. I guess they realized they gave me OT that one week. :(
Today’s Picture! "Inside the Station"
Today’s Picture! "Train Tracks"
On Wednesday I ran a few errands...one of those including developing my pictures. I went to the other CVS in town and their Kodak machine was working. So I developed all 109 pictures (several of these were pics were from Mother’s Day). After that I went to Uncle John’s house and mowed his lawn. Once his lawn was mowed, I went to Carlson’s to buy Grandma a hot dog and Alivia a root beer. At 3:15 pm, I meet up with Alivia at the Nursing Home..she wanted to see my Grandma with me. :) I also got to meet Alivia’s two little kids (her 7 year old boy and her 3 year daughter). They were adorable and a riot! lol. The visit with Grandma went well. She enjoyed the extra visitors, the hot dog, and the Washington DC pics. Alivia also loved the pics too!
After the good visit, I worked a 5 pm - 1 am shift in grocery, with Rev. Kevin. For the first hour, we finished putting up the load. Then we started facing the store (Aisles 12-10; 8-5). After Aisle 5 we took our first break. After our break, I helped Rev. Kevin face Aisles 4 & 3. Then I got called up front to help bag and then I went to the Dairy department to fill sale items. Once they were filled, I filled up the milk. After Dairy items were filled, I met up with Rev. Kevin and we got the ordering guns out. I ordered baby food aisle and aisle 4. Once ordering was complete we took our 2nd break. We ended our shift by facing Frozen and Dairy and refacing the store after it closed.
Have a great day!

Me again....forgot to answer your question about the laundry. l have about one load a week. There are laundry rooms here in our complex. Individual little buildingss, kinda like in Campgrounds. But first you have to get money and credit it to a card. The card operates the machines, so you can't wash unless you have money loaded on your card. The office is not open as long as the laundry rooms are..so you have to catch the office open or no washing. That happened AGAIN yesterday. l took a fellow to pick up his food and when l got back l went to the mail room as mail is delivered late here, and stopped at the office to load my card so l will have it credited on the card when the housekeeper comes to do the wash. She comes when the office is closed for 2 hour lunch and "paper work". lt was closed when l got there but l don't wear a watch and the sign said, Welcome come in so l tried to open the door and it was locked. The worker inside said "we're closed it is 5 o'clock" ..So l have to go back today before they close at noon. l have a three hour window of opportunity. The laundry room is open from 7 a m til 10 p m, but if you don't have credit on the card you are limited to 9 to 12 and 2 til 4:30. which is normally my afternoon nap time, so l have 3 hours to get off this computer and get showered and dressed and breakfast and get to the office to load my card. So l am not the only one who has a problem finding the office open. They close to paint without notice, close for meetings without notice, close when manager is showing people around the property, or she wants to check on who is doing what ...in other words you can't count on when the office is open and that is a big complaint of ours. We want the card loading machine IN the LAUNDRY room, but they say then money gets stolen. OK so how about machines that take coins? same problem even tho the laundry rooms are locked _except to tenants. So maybe a credit type card? Something has to be done as l notice fewer and fewer people l know use this facility. Even l took my clothes to a laundromat til they lowered the price here. At a laundro mat l could dry my clothes for 50 to 75c a load. Here was $2 and they weren't completely dry. Right now 2 of the 4 dryers are out of commission. So arent' you glad you asked?

Good morning Claudie: Wow 2 twenty year olds killed in auto accidents l read here just now. In Grmoore and Midnight's posts. That sure brings home the statistics about young people having accidents and texting and other issues, so sad.
Made an appt with orthopedic surgeon, not that l will go for surgery. l want a full evaluation about my leg's problems every summer. Activity it seems, but isn't that what they want you to do with arthritic knees?
Windy weather here now instead of March. Crazy.
My brother is now gone, but lived in a trailer house in Ok City. Many years adn was sure lucky those toranados missed him. That looked to be the worst destruction l have seen in a long time in this country. The tidal wave overseas wiped out a lot like this.

good luck at the dentist Claudie, we have a great dentist but I hate hate hate the dentist ive had so many gum operations in my life it put me off even the nicest dentist.
we had lovely pork chops last night cooked with onions and mushrooms, with mashed pots and broccoli. finished off with ice cream and not the healthy choice stuff either aero chocolate ice cream in a cone and it was scrummy, we also had some sweet and salty popcorn in the evening while we were watching the DVR of Revolution, and the voice.
I really like the voice some of those kids can really sing.
hopefully i will not have to stay so late at work tonight as Brother where art thou is on TV and TOH and I love that movie.

Greetings Claudie/others:
Happy Thursday! 68 degrees this morning.
re: rain - yes, just a little bit.
Training completed so I'm well on my way to accruing the required numbers of hours toward my Government Supervisor recertification.
I have a funeral to attend this morning; a colleague's daughter was killed in an automobile accident. She was only 22 - life is short!
Off to breakfast, work at home for a bit, to the funeral and then into the office.
Have a great day all!
