Tropical Depression two has formed (aren't we all thankful this is only #2?) west of Africa and is heading slowly west. While there is very little chance of this storm impacting the oil industry, we're going to be tracking this storm carefully to make sure you know what to expect at the pump.

At this time, forecasts indicate the storm turning into a tropical storm in the next few hours. There are two major paths the storm may take, one of them has the storm going west only to proceed due north and miss the U.S. completely. This storm could easily be a non-event.

Here's a map of U.S. refineries, pipelines, and gasoline terminals with the potential storm track on the map. We'll keep this updated as the storm moves, so check back daily!
